My research focuses on a small number of musically active adults in Glasgow - all of whom consider themselves participants of the Glasgow music scene and all of whom engage with country music in various ways.
My project looks to interpret and analyse how, and the extent to which, my participants use country music as a resource in the construction of their identities.
I have also produced work on popular music and gender and my broader research interests include; representation in the music press, vintage lifestyle and burlesque.
